Tunisia – Sousse: Arrest Warrants against more than 60 sub-Saharan nationals

The public prosecutor’s office at the Sousse Court of First Instance has issued Arrest Warrants for more than 60 irregular immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa and Sudan, the court’s official spokesperson, Wissem Cherif announced.

Cherif reported in a statement to the press that the public prosecutor’s office has brought several charges against the defendants, namely entry into Tunisia from points other than the border, illegal stay in this country and membership in a complex group likely to disturb the public order and the intention to perpetrate criminal acts.

He added that the defendants were directed to the Sousse Penal Council to appear before it next Wednesday.

The security units of the Sousse National Security district had formerly led a security campaign which affected the entire governorate and resulted in the arrest of more than 60 irregular immigrants.
