Tunisia-Sousse: Otolaryngology department at Farhat Hached University Hospital closed after admitting child with COVID-19

The otolaryngology department at Farhat Hached University Hospital has been shut down until preventive and health measures are taken after a 7-year-old returnee from Saudi Arabia has tested positive for COVID-19 was admitted to the department, medical sources told Tunisie Numérqiue.
The girl’s first test came out negative but during her second swap the stick broke in her nose which necessitated her transferral to the otolaryngology department, the latter refused to admit her before her results are out.
The regional health director intervened due to the need to aid the child, after accepting her eight workers started her treatment. However, the child tested positive for virus yesterday, pushing for the closure of the department until needed procedures are taken.
