President of the National Chamber of Pharmaceutical Industry, Tariq Al-Hamami reported that an increase in the price of 280 types of locally manufactured medicines, the price of which is assessed at less than 5 dinars, was approved.
Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, he added that the maximum increase that was approved was estimated at 1,500 millimes, considering that the value of this increase is not big and does not burden the Tunisian citizen.
The same source said that the last increase in the price of pills dates back to June 2021, and reiterated that this increase does not include all medicines priced at 5 dinars or less, as it is a partial increase that does not include all types of medications.
