The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians abroad disclosed the strengthening of the diplomatic staff in Damascus (Syria) with a diplomat from the Tunisia Embassy in Beirut (Lebanon).
According to a statement from the department, this decision is part of the follow-up of the situation of Tunisian nationals in Syria, following the earthquake which hit several regions of the country.
“It furthermore aims to provide all the necessary assistance to Tunisian citizens living in the regions shaken by the earthquake and to facilitate, if necessary, their repatriation”, reads from the same source.
