The Presidency of the Republic mourned the loss of Sultan Qaboos bin Said in an issued statement.
“The Sultanate of Oman and the Arab and Islamic countries have lost a wise leader and a genuine statesman who dedicated his existence to his country, as well as to the security, prosperity and stability of his people, making his country a representative of stability and balance in the region,” the statement maintained.
“Tunisia hails the works of the late Qaboos for having made the Tunisian-Omani relationships an ideal to be followed,” it added.
President Kais Saied sent his most genuine sympathies to new Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, as well as to the government and people of Oman.
