Surgeon and founding dean of the Sfax Faculty of Medicine, Abdelhafidh Sellami, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at the age of 85.
Back from France, Abdelhafidh Sellami contributed to the training of many generations of doctors. He was head of the general surgery department at Hedi Chaker university hospital in Sfax.
He was likewise one of the founders of the Faculty of Medicine of Sfax where he was the dean between 1974 and 1985.
