Tunisia-Suspension of all university activities from May 8

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has declared the halt of all university activities “courses, exams, internships and research work” as of May 8.

In an issued press release, the department affirmed that this decision arises following the measures taken by the national commission to battle the coronavirus.

The resumption of classes is programmed for May 19, 2021, pending specific measures related to the commencement of the school year and university which will be declared on May 13, 2021, by the national commission, the press release said.

According to the source, the university dorms will be open from May 17, 2021, to accommodate students.

The department has called on all the university establishments and the general direction of technological studies to upgrade the teaching calendar, taking into consideration the periods of interruption of the courses.
