Reform bloc leader Hassouna Nasfi and Tahya Tounes bloc president Mustafa Ben Ahmed today denounced the double-standard policy adopted by the parliamentary bureau and its chairman Rached Ghannouchi.
Both politicians criticized the violence that took place under the dome of Parliament, asserting that the perpetrators of the violence should be prosecuted. They further denounced the multiple violations of procedural rules by the Parliament office, which is in reality simply an administrative body.
“The house speaker must bring a criminal complaint against the perpetrators of the violence just as he did when he felt that the PDL bloc had interrupted a parliamentary session,” stated Hassouna Nasfi. The two presidents, therefore, announced that the Reform blocs and Tahya Tounes will boycott the work of the Parliament office as well as parliamentary committees. They also called for the meeting of the crisis unit, believing that the health situation is the priority of the moment.
