Interior Minister Taoufik Charfeddine, revealed during a press conference held this Thursday, September 1, 2022, that the number of deductions from the security salaries for the benefit of the security unions amounted to 34 million dinars annually (TND).
The Minister also underlined that a number of security agents are currently without wages and that they were on loans granted by the banks.
In addition, Charfeddine added that a probe was opened by the military court against two trade unionists, emphasising that the ministry will rigorously apply the law against various overruns.
Concerning the abuse of security unions, the minister likewise said that security unions have no right to give instructions to the security staff to exit from the security of any event, in reference to the last show of the Lotfi Abdeli.
