Tunisia-TAP boycots all government activities

Following the decision of prime minister  Hichem Mechichi to retain Kamel Ben Younes as the head of the TAP agency, despite objections from journalists and following the extreme use of force against the protesters, the latter has decided to take further escalation measures.

According to a declaration released by the National Syndicate of Tunisian Journalists “SNJT “, As of  April 22, 2021, the TAP will no longer cover all government activities,

A general strike will further be held on April 22, if the government does not change its decision before then, according to the same source.
