Tunisia-Targeted lockdown will begin next May 4

The scientific committee in charge of monitoring the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), on Monday, held its periodic meeting in the Kasbah, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Elyes Fakhfakh.

During the meeting, a presentation was made on the evolution of the epidemiological and health situation in the country in the light of recent updated scientific evidence.

The Prime Minister praised the efforts of all stakeholders to deal with the crisis linked to the pandemic, saying, in this regard, the anticipation and evaluation actions carried out within the framework of the national strategy to combat the coronavirus have made it possible to reduce its spread.

Members of the scientific committee discussed issues relating to the health system, individual protection methods, disinfection and protective masks.

The Prime Minister emphasised the need to adopt the proposals by members of the scientific committee in all stages of implementation of the national strategy of targeted lockdown that will start next May 4.
