Tunisia – Tataouine: Suspicions of corruption in regional education directorate

The official spokesperson for the Tataouine Court of First Instance, Nidhal Labiedh, confirmed in a statement to the media that the first investigating judge of the said court had issued an arrest warrant against the staff administrative department of the regional education directorate of Tataouine, following referral of the result of the “opening of an inquiry” as part of the preliminary investigation carried out by the Research and Inspection Team of the National Guard, in Tataouine, following information obtained on the presence of suspicions of financial and administrative corruption in matters of public procurement in the delegation.

The official spokesperson added that the investigation included other individuals linked to the main accused and that they have been released pending investigation.
