Tunisia-Tataouine:Coronavirus patient leaves hospital with family guarantee and moves to Medinine without informing about his health status

Medenine university hospital is on the alert after a patient from Tataouine tested positive for the coronavirus.

In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, Medinine university hospital director said that the patient from Ghomrassen was admitted to the hospital without suspecting his case. He was confirmed positive after sample analysis.

After investigation, Our reporter revealed that the patient turned out to be the brother of a former responsible at Tataouine and Medinine hospitals, his brother took him out on his guarantee and transported him to Medinine using an ambulance.

 The doctor requested to call his physician to obtain information about him, but he notified her that he had removed him from the hospital on his own guarantee, and he deliberately did not inform her of the reality of his condition.

The entire medical staff will be subjected to quarantine after the incident.
