Tunisia-Tataouine:Legmi and polluted water behind spread of typhoid fever

Tataouine regional health director   Ibrahim Gharghar revealed that analysis conducted on of drinking water revealed that it did not carry the bacteria that causes typhoid fever.

Speaking to Mosaique FM,He affirmed that the epidemic investigation had proven the existence of three reasons for the spread of typhoid fever in the region: wine and palm (legmi), stagnant polluted waters and the consumption of fruits and vegetables without washing them.

He stressed that non-respect for health measures due to the absence of recurrent water is another reason for contamination between Humans.
