Tunisia-Tebourba: Body of elderly suspected of COVID-19 smuggled from hospital

The medical and paramedical staff at the local hospital in Tabarba were surprised by a family who smuggled the body of an 87-year-old elderly man . The supervising doctor had decided to refer him to the forensic department at Charles Nicole Hospital and subject him to a covid-19 test, General secretary of the main union of health workers at the hospital Abdel Rahim Ghazil told the TAP.

He highlighted that the emergency department doctor, after confirming his death, decided to refer him to the forensic department at Charles Nicole Hospital, but his family members tore apart the doctor’s private letter and smuggled the body amid the surprise of the medical and paramedical framework.

The local hospital administration informed the National Guard Center in Tabuba about the incident to take the necessary measures.
