Tunisia – Ten attacks against journalists during August

The SNJT reported this Monday that the month of August witnessed ten attacks against journalists and photographers while carrying out their duties, out of 15 reports received by the union.

The SNJT assures that these attacks were confirmed by social networks, by the content of official media sites, and by what was declared on news sites, as well as direct contacts with the victims.

These attacks impacted 12 journalists or photographers operating in six establishments, two electronic sites, three radio channels and one TV channel.

The attacks consisted of 6 acts to hinder reporters in their work, two cases of banning journalists, one case of inciting hatred, and one case of verbal aggression.
