In a statement to Mosaique FM, Amel Ben Saïd, director of basic health, announced that Tunisia will initially benefit from 360,000 coronavirus vaccines.
She added that Tunisia will then receive a second batch of 2.4 million vaccines as part of the UN COVAX initiative which aims to grant the vaccine to all countries at symbolic prices.
Amel Ben Saïd stressed that people working in the sectors will be the beneficiaries of the first batch. She also estimated that a vaccine will be developed in 2021.
