“Once the research is finished, the public prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Tunis, opened three investigation files against a lawyer detained in another case,” according to Habib Torkhani, spokesperson for the Court of First Instance.
Torkhani added, in a press release, that the three cases involve a first complaint from the president of the ISIE, confirming that the accused had published a video on January 26, 2023, on her official page on social networks, in which she accused in particular the Authority, of electoral fraud during the elections.
The second complaint was filed by the same ISIE, on January 27, 2023, related to the viewing of a video in which it declared that the ISIE would take care of electoral fraud.
According to the same source, a third complaint was filed by the UGTT, alleging that on May 27, 2023, the accused and a group of her supporters intentionally organized a rally in front of the UGTT headquarters and entered its hall, which they occupied, which disrupted its work, chanting insulting slogans.
Torkhani concluded by stating that reports of findings accompany all these complaints via a bailiff.
The lawyer concerned by these complaints would, in all likelihood, be Abir Moussi, the PDL leader, who is imprisoned in the context of a case investigated by the dean of investigating judges of the Court of First Instance of Tunisia.
