The parliament’s vetting commission met to advance the process of fulfilling the vacancy in the Access to Information Authority, specifically selecting a third nominee in the category of an administrative judge, in the application of the second paragraph of Article 43 of the organic law on the right of access to information.
The Committee had concluded, at its meeting on July 6, on the two other candidates.
The vetting committee first examined Mohamed Ben Abdellatif Ayadi’s application to remove his candidacy, which was recorded at the House of People’s Representatives last July 8.
It then picked one applicant out of four others through a confidential ballot, by a majority of 3/5ths of the members of the committee.
By choosing the third candidate, the committee will have selected and ranked the three candidates to fill the vacancy in the access to information authority (administrative judge category).
They are Mounir Larbi, Olfa Kiras and Imed Ghabri.
