Tunisia will chair the African Union Peace and Security Council (PSC) for a month starting from April, 1, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said.
During its term, Tunisia will seek to achieve its vision of finding peaceful, just and sustainable solutions to various African problems for a secure, stable and prosperous Africa.
Proud of its African belonging, Tunisia has always prioritized Africa’s development and security. It will also endeavor to achieve the goals of the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity between the peoples of the continent and those of the rest of the world.
During its chairmanship of the Peace and Security Council, Tunisia will serve as a force for positive recommendations in its efforts to promote security and stability on the continent according to the African values of solidarity and complementarity set by the founding fathers of the Organization of African Unity (OAU).
