Tunisia-Total number of people placed in compulsory lockdown surpasses 15,500

The Ministry of Health declared evening that as a component of the battle against COVID-19, the board of sanitary lockdown and health departments proceed to observe the conditions of compulsory lockdown for people coming from abroad and settled in specific centres, asymptomatic people and health professionals, according to the compulsory lockdown measures decreed by the Prime Ministry in coordination with local and regional authorities.
The Ministry of Health has examined a set of data reviewing the situation of necessary health lockdown up to May 27, 2020. According to these data, the amount of people put in mandatory Lockdown amounts to 15,495 in 80 centres in 21 governorates, including 12,572 persons have finished their lockdown period while the resting 2,983 are placed in specialised lockdown centres.
The number of persons locked in hotels has reached 13,362 (87 %), while the number of persons subject to mandatory lockdown in university hostels is 1,327 (8 %).
Besides, the number of persons placed in sanitary lockdown in other lockdown centres is 806 (5 %)
