Speaking to the TAP, the president of the national vaccination campaign against Covid-19 Hechmi Louzir declared that the scientific committee is in favour of the adoption of a 3rd dose of the vaccine for some people with weak immune systems, particularly those suffering from diseases chronic.
Emphasizing that the 3rd dose is directed at protecting people immune to the new variants, Louzir added that the dose in question will only be administered 7-8 months after the second dose.
Louzir, in the same context, revealed that people who recovered from Covid-19 do not require a second dose since their immune system has developed antibodies against the virus.
