Tunisia-Towards the organization of a regional general strike in Sfax

The regional secretary-general of the UGTT in Sfax, Youssef Adouani did not rule out the option of holding a regional general strike in Sfax after having delayed the strike planned for December 10.

This strike comes as a sign of objection against the pile of waste on the roads of the city for more than 4 months. He added in a statement to TAP that the Regional Union will meet after the fulfilment of the work of the congress with the components of civil society and national organizations including UTICA to take a definitive decision on this subject.

Aouadni addressed the President of the Republic in order to find a radical answer to this environmental crisis and put an end to the marginalization that the city of Sfax has known for decades
