Governor of Tozeur Aymen Bejaoui announced that 132 returnees from Algeria were put into compulsory quarantine in a hotel.
In a statement to the TAP, he stated that their repatriation was conducted in coordination with the Tunisian consulate in Tebessa.
The repatriated include women stranded for numerous days of El-Oued, Algeria as well as Algerian women married to Tunisians from Tozeur, he stated.
Approximately fifty Tunisians married to Algerian women used to gather every morning since early April outside the seat of the governorate and the municipality of Tozeur to demand the repatriation of their wives and children stranded since mid-March in Tebessa.
