Tunisia trade deficit has doubled during the first half of 2019. The deficit equalled an estimated 8164.9 million DT in striking contrast to 2018 the State Statistics Institute announced on Monday.
Imports expanded by 14.5 5% to 32.7 billion dinars in January-June, while exports grew by 12.5 5% to 22.9 billion dinars Reuters reported .The marked increase is primarily spurred by a considerable expansion in the country’s purchases of refined materials and raw gas.
