The Ministry of the Interior wanted to give its version due to the travel ban on former MP Ayechi Zammel.
The ministry said that Zammel presented himself on September 26 at the police check at Tunis airport, with a view to departing the territory. The police then consulted the prosecution, who requested them to transmit to him that he has a case in progress and that he must present to the border police the documents certifying his regularization.
The ministry adds that the next day the ex-deputy presented himself to the border police management to ask for answers, and he was told that he should regularize his situation with the justice services.
The ministry reiterates, on this occasion, its attachment to the values of rights and freedoms.
