The 5th Criminal Chamber at the Tunis Court of First Instance specialising in terrorist crimes has chosen to delay the trial in the case of Chokri Belaid’s assassination till November 27, 2020, deputy public prosecutor Mohsen Dali affirmed in a statement to the TAP agency.
The ruling to defer the trial was resolved to fulfil the preparatory judgments, The chamber further declined all release requests made by the attorneys for the defendants, he stated.
The trial had been suspended on March 6 to June 26 at the call of the civil defence, (the Martyr’s defence lawyers).
