TUNISAIR has attained a turnover of 512.3 million dinars in the first half of the year, against 185.3 million a year earlier, a surge of 177%.
The number of passengers transported posted an increase of 176% at the end of last June, to 937,574 passengers, from 339,258 passengers a year earlier. Accordingly, the average revenue per passenger went up from 431 dinars to 433 dinars between June 2021 and June 2022.
As for the main variable costs, fuel expenses have risen by 347% to 176.2 million dinars, against 39.4 million in the first half of 2021, while airport fees have almost folded to 111 million dinars.
In addition, the wage bill has almost stagnated (+1.2%) to 84.3 million dinars, from 83.3 million in late June 2021. As for the workforce, it went from 3,356 workers to 3,248 employees. The company’s outstanding bank debt stood at 895.8 million dinars at the end of last June, against 943.7 million at the end of December 2021, while financial expenses have decreased from 11.3 million dinars to 9 million between June 2021 and June 2022.
