Tunisia-Tunisia and UK sign Sustainable tourism charter

The Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, René Trabelsi and British Ambassador to Tunisia Louise de Sousa officially signed a Sustainable tourism charter in an effort to enhance the environment.

Other parties to sign the charter are Tunisia’s waste management agency, the Federation of Tunisian Hoteliers, the Municipality of Hammamet, The UK Travel Association and TUI Group.

This Charter establishes objects that are expected to drive to a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly tourism industry in the pilot area of Hammamet, before extending across Tunisia.
