Tunisia-Tunisia condemns Israel’s far-right minister’s visit to Al-Aqsa Mosque

Tunisia firmly condemned the intrusion of an Israeli minister into Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“It is a blatant provocation of the Palestinian people and Muslims around the world,” reads a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In this context, the Department called on the international community to completely assume its moral and legal responsibilities with regard to the Palestinians and to act, in an emergency, to stop such climbing practices.

Tunisia has reaffirmed its support for Palestine in its legitimate battle against the Israeli occupation, reiterating its permanent support for the Palestinian people in the defence of its legitimate rights, including the establishment of an independent state with al-Quds for its  capital.
