Tunisia-“Tunisia forward” cautions against any divergence from parliamentary action

The “Tunisia Forward” movement cautioned against “any divergence of parliamentary action from political competition to a sort of paralysis of the parliamentary institution.”
In a press release issued at the end of a meeting dedicated to the review of the latest developments on the political, economic and social scene, the council of the general secretariat of the movement “Tunisia forward” estimated that “the country is nearly bankrupt.”
This, describes the party, is attested to by a debt ratio calculated at 88 % of GDP, the cessation of production in sectors of economic activity of vital importance or failure to restore the public health sector.
“Saving the country remains impossible as long as the government is unable to find solutions to the economic and social crises,” the party regrets.
In this regard, the “Tunisia Forward” movement urges the President of the Republic to intervene to push the government to initiate a dialogue with the protesters in the regions of El Kamour and the mining basin and to proceed with the implementation of the agreements concluded to resume production in vital sectors of the national economy.
The party also called on the democratic and civil forces to meet urgently, given the dangers threatening the foundations of the State, to consider quick solutions to save the country.
