From February 26 to March 1, 2024, the Army Air Forces will host the thirteenth regular symposium of the African Aviation Commanders Association. This event will see the participation of around 40 African nations, along with representatives from the US Army Air Forces, members of the Air Forces in the US Africa Command, and individuals linked with the United Nations.
Under the theme “African Cooperation in the Field of Training and Training,” this symposium seeks to position the Tunisian Armed Forces, particularly the Air Army, as a regional and continental hub for aviation and space training. Various topics related to training will be examined during the event, and participating delegations will have the opportunity to visit air units, training institutions, and centres affiliated with the Air Force to observe Tunisia’s advancements in training.
Besides, workshops will be conducted on the sidelines of the symposium, including one concentrated on “Women, Peace, and Security.” This workshop will address the role of women in the armed forces and their empowerment to undertake military and international leadership responsibilities, as stated by the Ministry of National Defense.
