Minister of National Defence Imed Hazguiheld a phone conversation with US Secretary of Defence Mark Esper , they reviewed military co-operation between the two countries and approaches to evolve it.
Hazgui maintained during this call the value of Tunisian-US cooperation, mainly that the United States is a definite and vital partner for Tunisia.
He communicated faith that this collaboration will be strengthened and its fields increased in an climate of mutual trust and in the interest of both countries.
During this call, the Minister of National Defence extended an invitation to his US counterpart to visit Tunisia on the event of the meeting of the Tunisia-US Military Joint Commission programmed for the first half of next July.
For his part, tMark Esper declared the American administration’s devotion to stand with Tunisia and its permanent willingness to assist the operational capabilities of the Tunisian military through sharing experiences and giving equipment to meet the regional challenges.
He also praised the high level attained by the Tunisian Special Forces.
Esper highlighted the significance and strength of the age-long relations between the two friendly countries based on mutual trust and respect.
