Tunisia-Tunisia prepares to submit coronavirus initiative to UN secuty council

President Kais Siaed held a phone conversation with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The discussion addressed bilateral relations between the two countries and also treated the health situation in Africa in particular and the world . Both presidents agreed on the need to unify efforts on the global scale to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

The head of the state stressed Tunisia readiness to submit coronavirus initiative to the UN security council as international peace and security are endangered throughout the world. President Saied indicated that lockdown and closure of border are no longer sufficient, stressing that measures adopted in every country are not a solution as evidenced by the virus rapid spread.

On his part, Ramaphosa expressed his deep support for the initiative.
