Tunisia-Tunisia requests for emergency session of UN Security Council to address implications of coronavirus for global peace and security

Tunisia, who is a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council asked the Council to hold an emergency session to address the implications of the =coronavirus for international peace and security and necessary measures it will take to support national and regional attempts to stem the pandemic and present the necessary capabilities to address it
It came after the Presiden Kais Saied emphasised in his speech at the National Security Council meeting on Friday the requirement for inviting international organisations and the United Nations General Assembly, especially the UN Security Council, to take several decisions to confront the new coronavirus, which has become a global pandemic, reported the TAP agency.
