Tunisia-Tunisia signs a 700 million dollar credit deal with the African Export-Import Bank

According to a press release issued on the official website of the Central Bank, Marouane El Abassi and George Elombi, respectively Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) and Executive Vice-President of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) signed, on April 13, 2022, in Egypt a credit agreement of 700 million US dollars.

This credit, contracted by the Central Bank of Tunisia in the name and on behalf of the Republic of Tunisia, is part of the mobilization of external resources supplied in the State Budget for the year 2022. This credit is repayable over 07 years; including two years of grace; carries an interest rate of 5.76% per annum.
