Tunisia-Tunisia snatches 5 medals at New York World Olive Oil Competition

There has once again been a success for Tunisia olive oils at the prestigious NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC) in New York. For this year edition, Tunisia snatched five medals.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, which was judged remotely by a 17-member panel of experts due to the pandemic, starting unveiling the 2020 winners on Monday.

There were a total of 881 entries registered in this eighth edition of the world’s largest and most prestigious olive oil contest held each spring.
The variety “Olivko” won 3 gold medals in the Chemlali, Chetoui and OLIVKO Wild categories.

The trademark owner Olivko, Karim Fitouri, was a gold medalist in 2017 and 2018 in the same competition.

Moreover,Two silver medals were awarded to Ruspina olive oil and to the company Rajhi & Ferjani which markets the products: NEAPOLIS OLIVE OIL ORGANIC, CARTHAGENE OLIVOS, ZAHRAA EZZEYATEEN, GHOSN EZAYTOUN.
