Tunisia-The number of mobile care teams for the elderly doubled

The Minister for the Family, Women, Childhood and Seniors, Amel Bel Haj Moussa, decided on Monday to augment the number of mobile teams. They will be mobilized to present social and health aids for the profit of the elderly at houses in the governorates of greater Tunis.

It is likewise a question of relaunching the activity of the mobile teams in the governorates of the northwest before Ramadan.

During a meeting with the presidents of the associations overseeing the work of these mobile teams, the Minister specified that the purpose of increasing the current number of these teams, namely 25, to 40 before the month of Ramadan, is to meet the needs of nearly 5,000 seniors this year.

She affirmed during the meeting held, in the presence of the President of the Tunisian Union of Social Solidarity, (UTSS) Mohamed Khouini, that efforts will be made to augment the public funding granted yearly to the associations supervising the work of these mobile teams while by increasing the number of monthly visits for the benefit of the elderly.
