Tunisia welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire and a cessation of military operations by the parties in Libya. Tunisia considered the decision a significant move to put an end to the bloodshed by coming back to the negotiating table under the auspices of the United Nations and the respect of international legitimacy.
Tunisia invited all parties to respect the ceasefire, stressing its refusal to military solutions and its uphold to adopt dialogue as the sole means of resolving conflicts which will result in a Permanent and definitive resolution that will preserve Libya sovereignty, unity, stability, and meet the aspirations of Libyan people.
