The Tunisian Foreign Ministry expressed its congratulations to Libya after the election of an interim government in the expectation of the elections to be held in December 2021. A first for the country after years of struggle.
The ministry reemphasised its predisposition to cooperate with the new power in place in order to consolidate bilateral relationships between Tunisia and Libya.
It should be remembered that Tunisia hosted the inter-Libyan dialogue conducted under the aegis of the United Nations last November. This dialogue was a resounding success and concluded with an agreement between the parties of the Libyan conflict to hold elections in December 2021.
