Tunisia was elected as a member of The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for a term period that will last for three years .Tunisia will commence its official mandate from the 1st of July to the end of June 2023.Tunisia will join as an executive member in the organization assembly which is composed of 49 members.The election was held in Rome (Italy), during the UN’s 41st session.
During its mandate, Tunisia will try to work on protecting the interests and hopes of the North African region within the FAO’s governance structure, which sets and approves the Organization global policies and implements its strategic framework, work program and budget.
