Tunisia – Tunisian 4th largest consumer of bottled water in the world

The head of the Tunis office of the World Wildlife Fund reported on Friday that Tunisian has become the 4th largest consumer of bottled water in the globe with an average of 220 litres per year. Knowing that this average was 15 litres per year in 1995. The same official added that this consumption generates a lot of plastic waste, specifying that in Tunisia, 500 thousand tons of plastic are emitted into nature each year.
