Tunisia-Tunisian army invests in automobile and naval construction

he Minister of National Defense, Brahim Bartagi, confirmed during a hearing with the commission for the organization of the administration and the affairs of the armed forces, that the Tunisian military forces have succeeded in building a military vehicle which has passed numerous successful crash tests.

The minister added that the President of the Republic even saw it a few months ago.

Mr Bartagi indicated that the Tunisian military forces also joined the field of maritime industrialization and manufactured 3 warships and that it became permissible to equip them with weapons, reconnaissance and intelligence in a partnership between the Ministry of Defense and a private company.

The minister clarified “We intend to move forward in this area and to manufacture other marine units in coordination with the ministries of tourism, agriculture and interior, in order to manufacture non-seagoing ships. only for the benefit of the defence ministry, but for the benefit of other ministries, ”added the minister.
