Tunisia-Tunisian Health Mission: “number of missing pilgrims cannot be determined except after visiting all Mina hospitals.”[Video]

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, head of the health mission for Tunisian pilgrims, Hamadi Soussi, noted that the most difficult step of Hajj is “Al-Nafra”, where around 3 million pilgrims leave in one direction, remarking that the number of Tunisian pilgrims is approximately 11,000 pilgrims, and the Tunisian authorities have provided approximately 50,000 buses to exit at the same time.

Soussi added that there are many hardships that pilgrims may face, particularly in light of the extremely high temperatures and the lack of hours of sleep, which causes exhaustion and fatigue for many, adding that the possibility of some pilgrims getting lost in all of this. The conditions are likely and very normal.

Our speaker also revealed that 3 special clinics have been established for Tunisian pilgrims for all urgent cases, in addition to a large number of clinics, each of which includes a physician and a nurse. Suwaisi said that they are currently monitoring the cases that have been transferred to hospitals.

He clarified that it is not possible to monitor the number of missing pilgrims currently until after completing the search in all 5 hospitals in Mina.
