Tunisia-Tunisia’s joins officially Network of Corruption Prevention Authorities

Tunisia has officially acquired an official seat in the Network of Corruption Prevention Authorities (Šibenik Network), through its 4th conference held in Tunis on October 17-18.
More known under the official name Šibenik Network, this draws collectively 21 anti-corruption authorities from diverse countries, including Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Serbia, Croatia, Morocco, Jordan, France and Italy.

In a statement to TAP, President of the National Anticorruption Authority (INLUCC) Chawki Tabib stated that this membership will help Tunisia in being involved in bilateral and multilateral collaborations ,make the most of the vital tools to strengthen collective action, unlock modern plans for an anti-corruption action and design a model of exemplary governance.

The multilateral strategy is a reservoir of mutual enhancement as it promotes exchange views of mutual interest in a comprehensive manner and forms very useful lessons aimed to amend and recognize certain national options at the level of laws as well as at that of anti-corruption strategies, Tabib pointed out.
This membership will also promote technical cooperation, sharing of personal expertise, information and inquiries, he specified.
This 4th meeting in key addition adequately portrays an unparalleled chance for the INLUCC to promptly sign bilateral cooperation agreements with its counterparts in Jordan and Morocco, which also joined the network during this 4th meeting, along with North Macedonia.
The Network of Corruption Prevention Authorities was founded with the logistical support of the Council of Europe in October 2018 in Šibenik, Croatia. It strives to positively strengthen international coordination in matters of effective prevention in the anti-corruption fight and meaningfully improve the effective mechanisms of disseminating good practices between corruption prevention authorities. It is backed by the Group of States against Corruption (CRECO).
