Tunisia – Twinning between amphitheaters of El Jem and Colosseum of Rome

The Ministry of Cultural Affairs revealed that Tunisia and Italy have inked a twinning agreement between the Colosseum of Rome and the El Jem amphitheatres.

The Convention was signed, for the Tunisian part, by Tarek Baccouche, general director of the INP, and, for Italy, by the director of the Archaeological Park of the Colosseum in Rome, Alfonsina Russo. This agreement seeks to promote the two sites, as part of the promotion of Roman archaeological sites.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the visit of Italian Minister of Cultural Affairs Gennaro Sangiuliano.
