Tunisia – Two Chinese companies are competing for the contract to build Bizerte suspended bridge

The regional director of equipment in Bizerte revealed this Thursday that work on the first and third stages of the new Bizerte suspended bridge project is advancing well.

As for the second phase which consists of the construction of the 2.1 km suspended bridge spanning the Bizerte canal, she disclosed that out of the eight bidding companies, only two Chinese public works companies stayed in the running to win this contract.

The regional director confirmed that the opening of bids concerning this tranche will be done before the end of the month, and the decision will thereafter be submitted to the party financing the project which is the European Investment Bank.
