Tunisia – Two minibus made available to students in rural areas of Kasserine

The regional coordinator of the Kasserine School Services Bureau, Mohamed Bouazza Bouazi, revealed today, Thursday, September 19, 2024, that two new buses have entered service to transport students from rural areas of the Kasserine region for the current school year. This comes following a partnership deal with the Regional Transport Company, which provides drivers for these buses, ensuring student transportation from rural parts of the province.

Bouazi highlighted that the Ministry of Education has made a total of six buses available in Kasserine, distributed across different delegations, including Thala, Jedaliane, Sbeitla, and Feriana.

In addition to transportation, Bouazi announced that the Kasserine School Services Office also provides meals to students in 37 secondary schools and high schools. Further, dry food (snacks) is supplied to 210 rural primary schools. Over 10,000 students, including interns and half-boarders, in secondary schools benefit from this service, while more than 24,000 students in rural and mountain primary schools also receive these provisions.
