Tunisia-Two white marble sculptures from the Roman period discovered inCap Bon ,say The National Heritage Institute

The National Heritage Institute unveiled that two white marble sculptures dating back to the Roman period were discovered during an excavation operation in El Maamoura, Cap Bon.

The first disclosed piece traditionally depicts the goddess of agriculture, harvest and fertility, while the second acephalous statue portrays a male divinity (Pluto Hades).
Excavation operation will continue under the direct supervision of Mounir Fantar and Nizar ben Slimane, leading researchers in the INP.
