The Deputy Secretary-General of the UGTT Sami Tahri revealed that the Court of Appeal has decided to delay until September 22 the examination of the appeal filed by trade unionists with the purpose of annulling the non-electoral extraordinary congress of the UGTT, held last summer in Sousse.
Tahri told the TAP that the hearing was delayed due to the strike by judges. It should be remembered that a judgment was rendered by the Tunis Court of First Instance on November 25, 2021, relating to the revocation of the non-elective extraordinary congress of the UGTT organized on July 8 and 9, 2021 in Sousse. This judgment was the subject of an appeal by the UGTT , which attached itself to the legitimacy of its congress, in accordance with its rules of procedure and the will of its basic structures.
